Jigawa State police command arrested Armed Robbery Syndicates, Purveyors of Other Crimes, recovers motorcycles and firearms

 

 

 

The Jigawa state police command has recovered one locally made fabricated revolver pistol and two Motorcycles from armed rubbery syndicates.

 

According to the command, Sequel to the order given by the Commissioner of Police on raiding Black Spots and Criminal hideouts across the command, the team on 02/06/2023 at about 1930hrs, a team of Policemen led by Divisional Police Officer Ringim Division, acting on actionable and credible intelligence that, some hoodlums who specialized in Armed Robbery have perfected their evil plans to move out for notorious operation along Wudil / Garko Road under Kano state.

 

 

The gallant team of Policemen with the aid of local vigilantes swiftly swung into action and succeeded in arresting one Hamza Abdullahi (AKA Chumo) ‘m’ age 22yrs of Wangara Fulani settlement Ringim LGA and one Hassan Ya’u ‘m’ age 25yrs of Tsoma Fulani settlement Ajingi LGA Kano state in possession of one locally made fabricated revolver Pistol.

 

 

The command on further discrete investigation at SCID led to the recovery of two Motorcycles.

 

 

It would be recalled that, on 06/5/2023 at about 0405hrs, a distress call was received at Fanisau Divisional headquarters, that some hoodlums blocked Dindibis / Gamoji Road. A team of Policemen on Patrol rushed to the scene, on sighting the Policemen, the hoodlums fled to an unknown destination and abandoned their two operational Motorcycles.

 

On interrogation, the suspects confessed to having participated in armed robberies along Gujungu/Miga Road, Kiyawa/Shuwarin Road, and Fanisau/Kano Road all in Jigawa state.

 

All suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.

 

A statement signed by the Police Public Relations officer of Jigawa State DSP Lawan Shisu reveales that, the CP has also directed that the division should sustain the tempo and ensure that sanity is completely restored in their area while calling on members of the public to make available any useful information that will help the police in the fight against crime and criminality.

 

He reiterated that the Command is committed to its core mandate, which is the protection of life and properties, among others.
