The new Deputy Governor of Bauchi State Alhaji Auwal Jatau urged residents to keep praying and supporting their administration to succeed and overcome challenges.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Mr Auwal Jatau is the deputy governor-elect to replace Baba Tela for the second term of Governor Bala Mohammed who was inaugurated on Monday May 29.
Jatau made the call in an interview with Newsmen on Monday in Bauchi, saying citizens of Bauchi have done everything to them.
He said the people of Bauchi State have given them the mandate to pilot the affairs of the state because of the confidence they have in them.
The people make a wise decision re-election of Governor Bala Mohammmed for another four years to continue with the good work he is doing.
“I want the citizens to have confidence on us,we will do our best and torch all the sectors education health, infrastructure among others.
“That is why we need your continued support and prayers for Bala Mohammmed and Auwal Jatau government to succeed in its avowed determination to uplift the state,” He said.
He appreciated the people of Bauchi State for giving them the opportunity to serve them, adding that they continue to pray for us so that we will be able to complete the good works my principal Governor Mohammmed has started.”
The Deputy stated that no leader had the intention to fail but upon assumption into office, they were overwhelmed by the challenges and unexpected issues.
Jatau said that Governor Mohammmed had a lot of good plans for the state and would perform well in office, calling for the support and understanding of citizens as the Governor and Deputy set to lead to greater heights.
Jatau described Gov Mohammed as a bold and determined man who is dogged and persevered a lot, saying we are all out to build another and different Bauchi.
