May 29 inauguration: NSCDC assures of tight security in Bauchi

The the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Command Bauchi has assured of tight security during the inauguration ceremony Governor Elect Sen. Bala Mohammed in the state capital,

The Commandant of the Command Mr Ilelaboye Oyejide gave the assurance in a statement signed by the Spokesperson of the command DSC Ibrahim Gabdo, made available to Newsmen on Saturday in Bauchi.

He noted that adequate personnel and equipment had been deployed for the activities leading to the venue of the inauguration, surroundings and the state at large.

“We have made adequate deployment of personnel and equipment for activities lined up for the governor-elect ‘s inauguration. There’s no cause for alarm as the inauguration ceremony will be held hitch-free.

“The NSCDC will provide adequate manpower and equipment for the security of everyone, and there’s no threat to the inauguration.

“Our operatives had been deployed on covert and overt operations ahead of the transition programme in the state,” he said.

He declared that the inauguration activities in the state will be peaceful and orderly because there will be no room for mischief makers to operate.

Oyejide urged the Management team, Area Commanders, Unit Commanders to smoke criminals out of their various hideouts and ensure safety of lives and protection of public assets and infrastructures in their respective domains.

The Commandant assured that the Corps will be on full alert and unrelenting in its conduct of anti-criminality operations and heighten security by fully engaging all specialized units of the Corps for a full scale security coverage of the citizens.

He reiterated the importance of synergy with other sister agencies for effective security operations, urging the personnel to work effectively and cooperatively for maximum results.

The NSCDC boss called on citizens for prompt reporting of suspicious movement and activities to security agencies for immediate action to nip crime in the bud.
