The Ghana Hajj Secretariat led by the executive secretary, Alhaji Farouk Hamza has started with the Orientation session of Ghanaian prospective pilgrims from Greater Accra and its surroundings at the conference Hall of the National Mosque in Accra.

Alhaji Farouk Hamza gave a holistic and precise overview of this year’s operations including a welfare management in ensuring Ghanaian pilgrims are comfortable before, during and after the Hajj pilgrimage.

The executive secretary as part of the orientation, listened to comments and contributions from the prospective pilgrims for a wider understanding of issues regarding the performance of Hajj.

Among the topics touched were based on health of pilgrims, Dawah on spiritual aspects of the pilgrimage and general knowledge on Hajj pilgrimage.

Some of the prospective pilgrims who spoke at the orientation session, commended and applauded the Hajj secretariat for bringing this noble initiative because most of them are first timers and know nothing about the performance of Hajj but the orientation has come at the right time to aid them.

Other prospective pilgrims at the session opined that, with the level of preparations by the Hajj secretariat, they are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that this year’s Hajj operations will be smooth and they are happy to have paid their fares with the Ghana Hajj Board.

About 500 prospective pilgrims who have registered with accredited agents like Albalad hajj agency and other agents were present for the orientation day 1 session for Accra.
