Almost 3000 intending pilgrims have been airlifted from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia

 

 

Nigeria has so far airlifted two thousand, nine hundred and ninety six (2,996) pilgrims to the holy land for the 2023 hajj pilgrimage.

 

 

The exercise which commenced on the 25th May with an Inaugural flight from the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja conveying about 470 pilgrims of Nasarawa state and some officials has so far been very smooth across the country.

 

 

The air carriers involved in the execise are also doing a good job leaving no stone unturn to see that their target is being met and in good time too.

 

So far, Nasarawa, Plateau, Benue and Zamfara have  airlifted some of its pilgrims to the holy land, others are Kwara state and Sokoto respectively.

 

Many more states are expected to join the que by early next week, so far the Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan has expressed satisfaction with the air carriers and the entire hajj airlifting exercise both home and in Saudi Arabia.
