Police arrest syndicate group of thiefs who specialises in breaking houses to steal in Jigawa – Photos

 

The Jigawa state police Command under the stewardship of CP. Effiom Emmanuel Ekot, has recorded another achievement in the fight against crime and criminality.

 

A statement by the PPRO Jigawa state police command DSPS Lawan Shisu Adam stated that, the remarkable feat are due to the proactive approach to crime fighting adopted by the Command, as part of measures put in place to ensure that the state is peaceful and crime free.

 

 

That on 06/5/2023 at about 2215hrs one Ibrahim Abdullahi ‘m’ age 27yrs of Naibawa quarters, Kano state, was arrested and brought to Dutse Police station, in possession of one stolen Jincheng Ladies Motorcycle, belonging to one Engr. Abdulaziz Nakore ‘m’ of Aminu Inuwa Housing Estate Danmasara Quarters Dutse LGA.

 

On interrogation, the suspect confessed to have committed the Offence, he further confessed to be among the thieves terrorizing Aminu Inuwa Housing Estate Danmasara Quarters, Dutse LGA.

 

He narrated that, he broke in to several houses within the estate and made away with valuable items.

Thorough investigation led to the recovery of many stolen items, such as;

√ 1.58inch Plasma TV,
√ One Rechargeable fan,
√ Two Rock carpet,
√ One travelling bag
√ One bed sheet,
√ Two caps,
√ One pair of Suit
√ One T-shirt.

Subsequently, one Hassan Iliyasu ‘m’ age 18yrs, Zakar Mohd ‘m’ age 27yrs and Uzairu Mohd ‘m’ age 28yrs all of Hadejia LGA were arrested for receiving stolen properties.

The suspect also mentioned one Mohd Khalil ‘m’ age 24yrs of B/Kudu LGA, who aided him in disposing a stolen motor vehicle in Katsina state.

In another development, on 22/5/2023 at about 0200hrs, one Nasiru Ya’u ‘m’ of Zainabi village Doguwa LGA, Kano state, trespassed in to the house of one Alh. Iliya Dandi ‘m’ of Dandi village, Kazaure LGA, and made away with his handset Tecno valued twelve thousand naira (₦12,000.00k)

The suspect was arrested and brought to the station by members of Nigeria Group of Hunters, when interrogated, he further revealed that, he jumped into the house of one Mubarak A. Sani ‘m’ of the same Dandi village on 13/5/2023 at about 0130hrs and stole away his three (3) handset, one Android, two keypad valued at seventy eight thousand naira (₦78,000.00k)

 

All suspects were charged to court.

 

The Commissioner of Police Jigawa state Police Command, CP. Emmanuel Effiom Ekots, while commending the efforts of Good Samaritan of Danmasara Quarters in collaboration with PCRC Members and Nigeria Group of Hunters, also admonished them not to relent on their effort of securing their Quarters.

 

He assures Jigawa citizens and residents in the state his resolute in the fight against crime and criminality while calling for usual cooperation and supports. He further called of good citizens to report any suspicious movement/ faces to nearest Police stations for quick intervention.
