The Police Command Bauchi has arrested 34 suspects of various crimes and rescue victims of kidnapped across the state between March and April 2023
SP Ahmed Wakil, Spokesman of the command made the disclosure in a statement issued to Journalists in Bauchi.
He said the suspects were arrested in connection with different offenses that includes culpable homicide, Kidnapping and disturbance of Public Peace.
“Seven suspects were arrested for criminal conspiracy, disturbance of public peace and causing grievous hurt.
“17 arrested for criminal, conspiracy, theft, thug and thuggery and six suspects of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide,”
“The command also arrested four suspected kidnappers and as well rescued two kidnapped victims,” he said.
According to him,the directive of the Commissioner of Police Aminu Alhassan against the backdrop of the security situation, the Command is committed to ensuring the security of lives and property of citizens.
“The command intensified 24/7 round the clock; Patrols, guard duty and raids of identified black Spots to effectively checkmate crime and criminality in the state,” Wakil said.
The Spokesman said the command recovered dangerous weapons and exhibits from the suspects that Include five cutlasses, four knives and two Iron mace among others.
He said all suspects would be charged to court after discreet investigation with immediate effect.
