Seven Senior Police Officers Decorated With Their New Ranks

 

The newly posted commander of 26 Armoured Brigade Dutse, Brig. Gen. HM Abubakar, along with some of his management team paid a courtesy visit to Jigawa State Police Command.

 

A statement signed by DSP Shiisu Adam PPRO Jogawa state stated that the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP Effiom Emmanuel Ekot, warmly received the August visitor in his office. In his response, the CP reiterated that the Police and Army in Jigawa state are twin brothers who worked assiduously and in synergy to achieve the desired result of crime fighting in the state.

 

In his remark, the commander of 26 armoured brigade, Brig. Gen. HM Abubakar, stated that he is at Police Headquarters Dutse, to familiarize himself and seek the Police’s cooperation in the area of the general security of the state.

In another development, following the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc (+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR*, and approval by the Police Service Commission, today 6th April 2023, the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP Effiom Emmanuel Ekot, and his management team, decorated one (1) Assistant Commissioner of Police to substantive Rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, four (4) Chief Superintendents of Police to substantive rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police and two (2) Superintendents of Police to the substantive rank of Chief Superintendents of Police.

 

 

In his goodwill message, the Commissioner of Police congratulated the newly promoted officers on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police and enjoined them to put in more commitment and professionalism while discharging their legitimate duty. He urged them to consider the new rank as motivation and additional responsibilities. He also warned them to be disciplined, loyal, and hardworking.

In a vote of thanks on behalf of promotees, ACP Danumma Isah Yaba, thanked the Almighty Allah for life and sound health to witness this memorable day. He further expressed their profound gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, the Police Service Commission, and the Commissioner of Police for graciously approving their promotion, and promised to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The ceremony was graced by the members of the Command’s management team, Heads of Departments, families, and relatives of the promotees.
