Abbah Ganduje’s Battles Jobe at Election Petition Tribunal.

 

The Son of Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Umar Abdu Umar of APC has dragged Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe of NNPP challenging his victory at Rimin-Gado, Dawakin Tofa and Tofa Federal House of Representatives poll conducted on 25th February, 2023.

 

 

Umar, through his counsel, Barrister A.T Falola is similarly challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for declaring, Jobe as rightful candidate who scored the majority of the votes cast during the election.

Approaching the Tribunal with an exparte application, Counsel to the Petitioners, Barrister AT Falola prayed the Tribunal to grant leave by allowing the court processes be served on Jobe by pasting the same on Kano NNPP Secretariat located at Sharada.

 

The Tribunal, Consquently ordered as prayed.

Similarly in another petitions, Sani Ma’aruf Nas of APC has sought through his Counsel, Barrister Hamisu M. Sabiu the leave of the Tribunal to allow court processes be effected on Sani Adamu Wakili of NNPP by paste same on his residence located at Yankaba, opposite Isiyaku Rabiu Estate and Secretariat of NNPP in Sharada, Kano.

 

 

Barrister Hamisu said he brought the exparte application pursuant to section 285 (10) of Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, Section 6, 8, 47 and 54 of Electoral Act 2022 and Section 6 of Federal High Court Rules.

 

 

In another Petition, Baffa Muhammad Takai of APC has through his counsel Barrister Ibrahim Muhammad prayed the Tribunal to allow court processes be served on Yusuf Rabi’u of NNPP.

 

The Petitioner is challenging INEC for declaring Yusuf Rabo winner for Takai/Sumaila Federal House of Representatives poll, held on 25th February, 2023.

 

Barrister Muhammad on behalf of the Petitioner said the motion ex-parte dated 2nd April and filed same date supported by 5 Pharagraphs Affidavit.

 

Upon hearing exparte application by Counsel to the Petitioner and his Party APC, the Tribunal ordered as prayed.
