A Fire outbreak has razed Three Automated Teller Machines (ATM) and damaging another Three, belonging to Zenith Bank, located at Tafawa Balewa Road in Kano Metropolis.
PFS Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday.
He said the Control room of the Agency recieved an emergency call from one Ghali Muhammad at about 12:06PM, where he reported an outbreak of fire at Tafawa Balewa Road.
He explained that the rapid response operation team arrived the scene by 12:11 PM on Tuesday.
“On their arrival, they found that, a building one floor of about 50 × 20 ft used as a Zenith Bank is on blaze.”
“Three ATM Machines well alight, while another Three ATM slightly alight” he further explained.
Mr. Saminu revealed that with the good efforts of Agency’s men, the fire was successfully controlled.
He noted that preliminary investigation revealed that electric spark was suspected to be cause of the incident.
According to him, One jet from commondore and one from Central Fire station were used to control the incident.
