The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Bauchi North and Bauchi Central senatorial to People Democratic Party (PDP) while Bauchi South to
All Progressives Congress (APC) at the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly Election.
Our correspondent reports that Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi PDP was declared winner of Bauchi senatorial seat and Dr Ismail Kaila PDP Bauchi North Senatorial seat, while Mr Shehu Buba APC for Bauchi Senatorial seat.
Professor Ibrahim Danjuma from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi (ATBU) returning officer in Darazo collation center on Monday in Darazo Local government headquarters declared Sen.Abdul Ningi PDP as the winner of Bauchi Central Senatorial District.
He said Abdul Ningi of PDP was declared winner by polling 104,878 votes to defeat Uba Ahmad-Nana of APC 84,621 votes who came second and Isah Hamma Misau of NNPP who polled 17,995.
The Central Senatorial District includes the local government areas of Danbam, Darazo, Ganjuwa, Misau, Ningi, and Warji.
INEC Returning Officer, Prof.Ahmad Set’le announced in Azare Katagum Local government area on Tuesday that Dr Samaila kaila of PDP is the winner of Bauchi North Senatorial District election.
He said Dr Ismaila Kaiila secured
102,043 defeating his close rival Sirajo Tanko of All Progressive Congress (APC) who got 100,246. Votes.
“Dr Kaila of the PDP having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared winner and returned elected,” he said.
Bauchi North Senatorial District comprises , Katagum, Shira Giade, Zaki, Gamawa, Jammare and Itas Gada.
Prof.Ibrahim Garba,Bauchi South Senatorial District Returning Officer, announced that Shehu Buba of APC is the winner of Bauchi South Senatorial District, saying that Mr Buba secured 175,505 votes..
He said that Buba beat his closest opponent, Mr Garba Dahiru of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 165,727 votes, while Lawal Gumau of NNPP came third with 3,739.
Bauchi south Senatorial District comprises , Bauchi, Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro, Dass, Toro , Alkaleri and Kirfi.
The returning officers said all election elections were contested and the candidates have satisfied the requirements of the law, and have scored the highest number of votes that declared them winners of February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.
