More Than Two Million People Are Expected To Cast Their Votes In Jigawa State

The Independent National Electoral Commission in jigawa state reveals that two million two hundred and ninety two thousand three hundred and seventy two voters are expected to cast their votes for tomorrow’s polls.

 

 

Professor Muhammad Lawal Bashar the Resident electoral commissioner in jigawa state made the disclosure while briefing journalist on the readiness of the commission for tomorrow’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections, at the commission’s conference room in Dutse on Friday 24 February 2023.

 

The resident electoral commissioner said that apart from more than two million who collected their permanent voters cards there are also fifty eight thousand nine hundred and twenty six permanent voters cards remained uncollected as at 5 February 2023.

 

professor Muhammad Lawan therefore noted that the electoral Commission in jigawa state received the total number of 4580 Biometric Voter Accreditation System known as BVAS.

 

The Jigawa state resident electoral commissioner who revealed that the election will take place at the 4519 polling units however noted that the commission has successfully delivered all the sensitive and non sensitive materials to 27 local governments across the state.
