Ex Bauchi Gov, Muazu urge youth to shun thuggery, pray for hitch free election

The former Governor of Bauchi state Alhaji Ahmadu Muazu advised youth not to allow themselves to be used as political thugs to promote violence, urging the youth to pray for peaceful conduct of Saturday’s election.

 

 

Muazu gave the advise while addressing 58 youth groups, associations and People Democratic Party (PDP) supporters on Friday in Bauchi.

 

He said the youth should be mindful of what the future holds for them, noting that prayers for a successful election on Saturday 25 and other elections are paramount.

 

“Any youth ready to present himself as a political thug will be stabbing his or her future with a sword. Who told you that you too cannot be somebody in future.

 

“Therefore, today is Friday go and pray for the Success of the election and for our candidate Atiku Abubakar as president and Sen. Bala Mohammed as governor of Bauchi state.

 

“As I said today is Friday is a very important day for prayers , so please prayer fervently for our candidates to win and to have a hitch free election across the state and the country at large,”

 

He admonished the youth not to vote based on sentiment and shun vote trading, he urged them to vote according to their conscience.

 

Muazu however urged the youth to distance themselves from trouble spots and election violence.

 

“I appreciate you people for coming together to honor me and drum up support for PDP candidates,” Ex Governor said.

 

Earlier, the Convener of 58 associations and union Dr Babayo Liman said the objective of the group was to honor the former Gov Muazu for his concern of Bauchi state.

 

He said the groups want to inform the former Governor of their commitment and support to vote for PDP at all levels.
