The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, said that it has suspended senatorial election in Enugu East senatorial district ahead of the February 25th general election.
In a post on twitter channels tv reported that the commission suspended the eleciton in other to combine it with the Governorship and state house of assembly wich will take place in 2 weeks time.
The tweet reads:
“We have formally received official communication from the political party informing the INEC of the death of its candidate.”

Meanwhile, the INEC chairman Professor Mahmud Yakubu has also revealed that the commission has no special tags for journalists, however, there is a sticker for evry vehicle and observers alike
“There is no special sticker for journalists, we have the “general election duties” sticker for all vehicles, including those of observers & INEC officials”.
