A Group, Lobito Group for Asiwaju, a support for All Progressive Congress APC Presidential Candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu Bauchi State Chapter has distributed 21 vehicles across the 20 local government areas to boost campaigns in the state.
The Chairman steering committee Lobito Group Bauch Chapter, Idris Lanzai while distributing the vehicles to the local coordinators on Wednesday in Bauchi, said the vehicles are for campaigns door to door ward to ward across the state.
“We are here today to distribute vehicles to our local government coordinators to ease their transportation problems in conveying our messages to our target groups.
“They are to mobilize the electorates to show them how to vote and to encourage them to come out and vote for APC candidates en masse,” he said
Barrister Usman Darazo ,the secretary explained that the group threw their weight, support and loyalty to the former Lagos State Governor and APC presidential candidate, Tinubu.
“Lobito is a grassroots support group, initially formed by the friends of Buhari during his first and second term campaigns for election under the leadership of Mallam Ya’u Darazo, the Senior Special Assistant to the President Muhammadu Buhari, on Special Duties.
“The 21 Volkswagen cars branded with the APC logo and pictures of Tinubu and his running mate, Kassim Shettima would boost campaigns and canvass for votes from grassroots,” he said.
Also speaking, the Bauchi Central Senatorial candidate, Uba Nana, who was a guest during distribution of vehicles said the vehicles came at the right time campaigns are ongoing.
“These vehicles are distributed to the local government coordinators for the purpose of working day and night
“for the purpose of going to the nooks and crannies of the various LGAs of the state canvassing for votes from all our supporters for the success of our party in the 2023 general elections.” He said.
