Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has sworn in Justice Iyabo Yerima as the new chief judge in the state on acting capacity.
Governor makinde shared the pictures of the event on his social media handle where he congratulated the new chief justice on her laudable achievement and pledge to support and the judiciary as they discharge their duty.
He wrote:
“This morning, we held the swearing-in ceremony of the Acting Chief Judge of Oyo State, Hon Justice Iyabo Yerima, in accordance with Section 271(4) of the Constitution of the FRN 1999 (as amended). We will also follow the due process for appointing a substantive Chief Judge”.
“In my remarks at the event, I congratulated Hon Justice Yerima on this laudable achievement and pledged to support her and the Judiciary as they dispense justice in our dear state. I also restated that our campaigns would not affect the wheels of governance in Oyo State”.
