Bandits have Attacked and Killed 7 members of the Nigerian Civil Defence officers and another 11 Vigilantees and Miners in Kaduna State.
Acxording to reports, On 8/1/2023 at about 1100hrs some unknown gunmen suspected to be armed bandits/Terrorist ambushed some personnel of Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp (NSCDC) and personnel of Vigilantes service while on patrol at one mining site in Kiru village Kuriga ward Chikun LGA Kaduna State where mining activities are being carried out by one Sahlan engineering company.
Seven (7) NSCDC personnel were shot dead, names of officers who lost their lives in the unfortunate attack includes:
1. ASCI Shamsuddeen Labaran.
2. ASCII Peter Ayuba.
3. ASCII Simon Augustine
4. IC Micheal Miss.
5. IC Fidelis Yusuf.
6. IC Peter Nom.
7. Elisha Yashim Silas.
Five(5) Vigilantes personnel and six (6) miners were also shot dead (names yet to be known).
However, the 18 corpses and casualties were taken to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital Kaduna.
Meanwhile, effort is on progress to get the names of the deceased Vigilantes and miners.
