A female pilgrim from Yobe State Fanna Hassan has died in Maiduguri Hajj camp, Borno state, shortly before being airlifted to the holy land officials says.
The zonal Coordinator of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in charge of Maiduguri zone Alhaji Wali Gana disclosed this to the INDEPENDENT HAJJ REPORTERS that Mrs Hassan died after observing morning prayers on Saturday morning.
The deceased is one of the pilgrims billed to be airlifted as part of the first contingent of pilgrims from Yobe State.
“ Their flight is scheduled for 11am this being the first batch of Yobe State pilgrims but she died after observing prayer in the camp, that is the will of Almighty Allah” Alhaji Gana said.
