No fewer than 40 persons with a peaugeut j5 loaded with grains had been killed when a ferry boat capsized in River Benue at IbI local government area of Taraba state
An Eye withness who spoke to Liberty news said that the people filled the boat because of the reduction in the price of the ferry which made it more cheaper.
Corpses are still being removed from the River at the time of filling this report.
Many victims from Ibi town mostly woman and children’s were buried according to Islamic rights.

An update now revealed that about 40 people lost theor lives while the search continues.
