Jubilation as Jos North council chairman commissions pedestrian bridge linking communities in Jos

It was a celebration galore in Jos North Local Government Council when the council chairman Hon. Shehu Usman Bala commissioned one of the project of the administration, a pedestrian bridge which links the Gangare and Rikkos community of the Jos North local Government Area of Plateau State.

 

In a statement issued by the media aide to the Council chairman Philip Epling, Hon. Bala reassured the people of the community of his determination to execute every project innitiated by his administration.

JUBILATION GALORE AS JOS NORTH COUNCIL BOSS COMMISSIONS REHABILITATED PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE   LINKING GANGARE TO RIKKOS COMMUNITIES.

 

 

The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Bala Usman has reiterated the desire of his administration to complete all ongoing projects initiated by the administration.

 

This according to the Council Chairman is in fulfilment of the social contract between his administration and the inhabitants of the area to boost the socio-economic activities of the people.

 

The Chairman stated this at the commissioning of the Rehabilitated pedestrian bridge in Gangare linking Rikkos in Jos.

 

It will be recalled that last month Houses in Gangare and some parts of Rikkos were submerged by floods which affected some pedestrian bridges within the community.

 

Worried by the development, stakeholders of the two communities met and intimated the Chairman who promptly visited the areas to assess the situation for himself and immediately directed the supervisory Councilor for social services John Ari Voda to put in measures to ameliorate the plight of the inhabitants.

While commissioning the pedestrian bridge, amidst jubilation by elated residents, the Chairman said the rehabilitation of the pedestrian bridge is part of the continuous efforts by his administration to transform the area to make life bearable for the people.

 

He lauded Governor Simon Lalong for executing several developmental projects in Jos North coupled with the ongoing construction of a British American overhead bridge, rehabilitation and construction of a road network in the locality.

This among several others, the Chairman stated has proven the love Governor Simon Lalong have for the people of Jos North Local Government.

 

The Chairman used the opportunity to restate his relationship with the Legislative Arm of Jos Council and remain cordial noting that together they will offer democratic dividends to the people.

 

Councillor representing Gangare Ward, Umar Abubakar commended the Jos North Chairman for responding quickly to the plight of his constituents stressing that Shehu Usman’s commitment to governance and the social economic prosperity of the area is unparalleled and assured him of the total support of the people of Gangare to his administration.

 

APC Chairman of Jos North Local Government, Sani Gangare and the Gang community Leader, Malam Guda appreciated the Chairman for coming to the aid of the people noting that the road linking Gangare to Rikkos was a source of worry adding that with the intervention of the Local Authority has hive a sight of relief to the two communities.

 

The high point of the occasion was the presentation of an award of excellence by the Gangare community to the Council Chairman for his outstanding contribution to humanity as well as the Gang a community.
