Breaking News – Nigerian pilgrims to start returning back home Friday 15

 

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has revealed they it will start the airlift of its pilgrims back home on Friday 15th of July 2022.

 

This was made known by the head of command and control unit Engineer Gwoni during the post-Arafat meeting which was held in Makka Saudi Arabia on 13 July.

 

According to engineer Gwoni, all the pilgrims will be airlifted according to how they came. He gave an example with the first people who came will be the first to go back.

 

During the meeting, several committees made their presentations while revealing some of the challenges encountered as well as the successes recorded during the exercise.

 

The committees include medical, ICT, Planning, Ulamas as well as the operation all indicated that the operation was a success except for some minor reasons.

 

Senate committee on foreign affairs Senator Bulkachuwa commended NAHCON for successful operations saying that nobody gets anything perfect.

 

According to him, judging by the outcome of the covid-19 pandemic and the short notice issued on the performance of Hajj by Saudi Arabia NAHCON has tried in pulling out a successful operation.
