A Nigerian Pilgrim has found and returned money worth almost a thousand dollars which he found in an accommodation in Madina.
The pillgrim who hails from Kaduna State has initially lost his pouch with almost all his BTA in it in total of $700 and N70, 000 Nigerian Naira, with SR4.
Fortunately for him, a good Samaritan who is equally a Pilgrim from Sokoto state by name Alhaji Arzukka Babaya LGA of Tambuwal found the pouch and alerted his officials were able to trace the owner who had already left to Makka.
The good Samaritan Alhaji Arzukka said he just came down from the elivator when he found the bag on the floor, he then picked it and just head straight to the PRO of their state to hand over the bag in other to find the owner.
Alhaji Arzukka said “We were given sensitization from home by our officials that you don’t find something in Makka, and that was why when I found this bag I decided to hand it over to our PRO”
When asked if he regretted serroundering the money, the good Samaritan said he was happy that he handed over the money to the owner.
The Coordinator of Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Board in Madina Alhaji Nura Malami said Sokoto state are very humble and law abiding citizens therefore what happened is not a supprise to him because he already know what they instilled in their pilgrims.
The NAHCON Madina Coordinator Alhaji Ibrahim Mahmud Idris who facilitated the return and receipt of the money, thank the good Samaritan for his outstanding conduct and promised to reach to the Kaduna State officials.
He further urged the pilgrims to always handle their money and valuables with care because if one loses their money in Hajj he is definitely going to be stranded.
The money was later handed to Alhaji Ibrahim Mahmud Idris for safe keeping and a proper conveyance to the kaduna State MPWB to be handed over to the owner.
