Earlier today, Thursday 23th June the media team paid a visit to the Madina coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Mahmud Idris.
Addressing members of the National Media Team on what is expected in their reportage during the 2022 Hajj operationss, the coordinator called on the journalists sponsored by Nahcon to cover Hajj 2022 activities to always put Islam at heart and project the good image of Nigeria while reporting from the Holy Land.
He also called on the journalist, to avoid reports capable of ternishing the image of the commission as well as Nigeria at large.
While fielding questions from journalist concerning the operation generally and the level of successes being recorded in terms of coordination, Alh. Ibrahim Mahmud said so far the commission has done so well in handling its activities without much obstacles.
Alhaji Idris further revealed that the commission has different committees who oversee to the every aspects of the operations.
According to him, there are committee for feeding, accommodation, medicals, transport, among others.
Similarly, the former secretary of the commission Alhaji, Ahmad Maigari also called on the media to ensure they balance their story by finding out facts before making their story public.
In another story, the coordinator of Madina Alhaji Ibrahim Mahmud Idris held a meeting with the agents of representin tour operators oe in Madina where he coutioned them against illegal operations and abandonment of their pilgrims.
Alhaji Ibrahim Mahmud Idris requested that all the agents most submut a valid phone number which the commission can reach them with in order not to leave pilgrims stranded.
He further gave some lay down rules as given by the Saudi government amongs which include none seperate movement by pilgrims.
