The honorable minister of women affairs Dame Pauline Tallen has condemn in it totality of the brutal attack carried on St. Francis Catholic church Owo, on Sunday killing many people while scores were injured.
Tallen, in a press release said families have been wiped out while women have been widowed and children orphaned due to the attack.

ON THE OWO MASSACRE
It is another sad day in the history of this great country where mindless and destructive faceless persons have again wrecked havoc on innocent unarmed peace-loving and God-fearing citizens as witnessed in the OWO massacre of worshippers in St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.
2. Families have been wiped out, men, women and children widowed and orphaned by blood thirsty cowards.
3. This dastardly act committed in a place of worship calls for condemnation and on behalf of all Nigerian women, I condemn in strongest term this bloodshed that has left us all grieving. This is one act too many and calls for sobre reflection. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen!
4. I am still in shock and wondering what could have provoked such an act. It is very clear that the perpetrators are criminals and terrorists who have an agenda. Nigerian women and mothers commiserate with the bereaved families and the Government and good people of Ondo State at this time. The enemies of this land want to cause fear and break our resilience, but in all of this, we stand resolute as a great country with all the rich human and natural resources to say No to Violence, No to mindless killings. Nigeria will be great again by Gods grace! These faceless cowards will know no peace and will soon meet their waterloo.
5. Our prayers are with my brother, the Governor of Ondo State, H.E. Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, be assured that Nigerian Women stand with you and are praying for you in this trying moment. Do not loose faith!
6. To all these faceless people who are daily perpetuating evil, this is a wake up call to drop these mindless acts. Even as you go about killing, and you think that you have scored a point, you are the most miserable of all beings and the blood you have shed will hunt you.
