Attack on commuters leaves over 30 dead in Jos

Over 30 people have been reportedly killed in an ambush by some community of Rukuba Road in Jos plateau state.

According to report from Jos, the victims are said to be some members of the Qadiriya sect who are coming back from Bauchi state after attending Maulood.

They are said to be heading home to Kogi and Ogun state among others.

A statement by the publicity secretary of the Dariqa in plateau state Yusuf Abdullahi wase, called for calm while awaiting an official statement from Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi on the ugly incident.

His statement read.

As we are waiting for media briefing by our spiritual Leader SHEIKH DAHIRU USMAN BAUCHI RTA, over the unfortunate incident ,Resulting to attacked on some Of our members from Ondo state, who were on their way back home from Bauchi state after attending National prayers at Bauchi for the new Islamic calendar 1443.

We should should therefore, remember what Allah Has said to us in different places about any calamity.

“Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere”… Qur -an 2 verse 155

“those who when any affliction smites them, they say: “Verily, we belong to Allah, and it is to Him that we are destined to return.” qur an 2: 156 .

May Allah make us to be patient at all trying moments.
