Tricycle Operators in Kano have embarked on strike action

Tricycle operators in Kano State on Monday embarked on a warning strike with the withdrawal of their services over the failure of the state government to suspend collections of N100 as daily tax.

reports shows that Tricycle operators had last week threatened to commence the strike on Monday after several protests despite the Police assurance to the citizens that the strike would not take place.

On Monday morning, commuters were seen trakking long distances with the absence of the Tricycle operators, popularly called ”Adaidaita ” on the major roads.

According to the students, they were protesting KAROTA’s action of the N100 tax on tricycle operators that led to the strike.
