The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, has expressed sadness over the death of the first civilian governor of old Kaduna state, Alh. Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa who passed on Wednesday at the age of 84.
In a condolence massage issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, Wase described late Balarabe Musa as a committed nationalist who rendered selfless service to his country before, during and after the second republic.
The Deputy Speaker said the late politician was committed to the ideals of good governance, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect for all persons, adding that his life was full of lessons for today’s young aspiring Nigerians to learn from.
“As we mourn the passage of a father and a leader, I pray to the Almighty Allah to give his family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss,” the Deputy Speaker added.
