Media Mugul and founder of Ovation magazine/ tv chief Dele Momodu has recounted his ordeal when he lost his father at the age of 13.
Momodu shared a throwback photo of him and his father where he laments that the photo was taken when he was just 10 and 3 years later he lost his father to the cold hands of death.
He wrote.
“When I took this picture at age 10, in 1070, little did I envisage the humongous challenges ahead of me. Three years later, my Dad died, and my world nosedive. That’s why I know the meaning of poverty. I’m grateful to those who have touched me since then in various ways”.
Momodu further twitters how he has dedicated part of his earning to support other fewer privileged youths and how kind-hearted persons have been supporting with cash.
I’m also dedicated to touching lives. Two days ago, my modest palliative initiative got a boost when I received N1m. From a kind donor. Yesterday, another kind-hearted friend donated N1m. What we’re doing is only a drop in the ocean but we thank God for providing the little we do.
