There will be no Eid-el Kabir Sallah celebration in Katsina. This was the resolve of the state Emirate council on Saturday, July 25.
The council pointed out that the rate of insecurity and the rising cases of coronavirus have made the state unsafe for festivities.
According to the emirate, the resolved was further influenced by the rising and rather disturbing rate of insecurity in the state presently.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina however, used the opportunity to call on Muslim faithful to call on God for peace and order to return to the state.
