Ex Zimbabwean president Mugabe hosted a private birthday party

Former President Robert Mugabe has hosted a private birthday party at his Blue Roof residence in Borrowdale yesterday.

This comes after he reportedly snubbed the Zanu-PF Youth league’s offer to hold a public birthday party for him. Mugabe’s birthday was in the past celebrated extravagantly at a cost of millions of dollars. Last year the party was estimated to have cost at least $2 million.

Mugabe is hosting a birthday party despite telling the African Union that his family was being harassed and that he was being denied his constitutional benefits as a former head of state.
