Four Americans and Canadians kidnapped at gunpoint in Kaduna on Saturday regained their freedom. A senior police officer had informed an authoritative newspaper that the victims were rescued around 7.30am on Saturday in fairly good conditions and had been handed over to American Embassy in Abuja for medical attention.

“Two suspects have been arrested and efforts are being made to arrest other members of the gang,” he added.
The victims who were said to have visited kafanchan in tue Jama’a LGA ofmthemstate to inspect some projects, but were kidnapped on Kwoi-Jere Road in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Tuesday while returning to their base in Abuja. They were allegedly ambushed by the assailants who open fire on the police escorts where two of the policemen lost their lives.
