President Mohammadu Buhari has sent a letter to the Senate requesting the confirmation of the son of late Biafra warlord Ojukwu, Mr Anthony Ojukwu as the executive secretary of National Human Rights Commission.
The letter which was read by the Senate president Bukola Saraki in the floor of the house partly read: “In accordance with provisions of Section 8 ofNationalHuman Rights Commission Act 2010, I have the pleasure to present Mr. Anthony Okechuwku Ojukwu for confirmation as Executive Secretary ofNationalHuman Rights Commission by the Senate.”
Earlier last week Buhari had written to the Senate to seek confirmation of nominees for the board of Code of Conduct Bureau which was equally read by the Senate president.
