The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Friday broke his silence over an allegation which trended on the social media and some reputable nigerian newspapers some montha back. Amosun waa accused of impregnating a corp member who larer had twins for him but the governor has vowed to smoke out those purveying rumours and falsehoods against him and ensure they are sent to jail.
The governor, while speaking at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, during a Town Hall meeting of stakeholders for the 2018 Budget, veered off the prepared speech to clear the air on some speculations against him saying some unnamed politicians who are aspiring for 2019 governorship of Ogun state are responsible for the spate of falsehood calls it the “concoction of idiots”.
The governor further stated that he has been married for 26 years to his wife Olufunso Amosun and never kept a girlfriend outside. Steting that keeping one wife in Nigeria is a hard thing to do and so never intend to make it double.
