Stop the madness in Plateau, Buhari tells army and police.

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Nigerian Army and the Police to endmthe ongoing “madness” killings in Plateau State and ensure that the security situation doesnt deteriorate.

The President who gave the order on Monday after a fresh attack in a village in bassa LGA where scores were killed. The Jos killings have been sectarian with herdsmen and indegine and also religious killing in the past.

The Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, said in a statement that the president has recieved the news with “deep shock and regret” where 30 people were said to have been killed, the statement reads in part;

President Buhari believes that this madness has gone too far. He has instructed the military and the police to not only bring the violence to an instant end, but to draw up a plan to ensure that there are no further attacks and reprisal attacks by one group against the other,”
