The spokesman to the minister of state for petroleum, Mr Ibe Kachikwu has confirmed that the $26b contract awarded by his principal, was duly approved by the Federal executive council FEC
The minister for state has raised alarm accusing the petroleum minister Maikanti Baru in an open letter to the president of illegally awarding contract worth $26b, a development that has generated so many controversial coments from the public.
The two ministers later held a close door meeting with the President on Friday, but none of the parties disclose how the meeting went as both declined to coments to the press who were lined up at the Aso villa.
