Plateau State Government graduates 85 trainees on war against indiscipline

Plateau State Government has a inaugurated 85 volunteers to foresee the war against indiscipline in the state. Director of the national orientation agency Mr Bulus Dabit said told the Newsmen on Monday in Jos that the volunteers went through three months of rigorous training that armed them to tackle the two vices and also inculcate values of patriotism into the society. Dabit further stated that the volunteers could also augment for drug abuse.
The trainees are ready to serve Nigeria; they are ready to be engaged by the Police for community policing and intelligence gathering,” he said.
“Some communities have become notorious for crimes as well as drugs sale and intake.
“Tackling such crimes cannot be easy for the security agencies because the perpetrators usually escape into bushes; but the WAI volunteers, who are also members of such communities, can easily assist the security agents to get the suspects,” he said.
“The group is being resuscitated because the vices it fought then, are still here with us,” Dabit said.
