Nigeria’s envoy to Germany, Ambassador Senator Ita Enang, has reiterated the nation’s commitment to strengthening bilateral economic ties, promoting skilled circular migration, and expanding partnerships in green energy and technology with the Federal Republic of Germany.
?Speaking at the 66th Independence Anniversary celebration of the Federal Republic of Nigeria held in Berlin, Ambassador Enang addressed members of the diplomatic corps, German government officials,
African representatives, and the Nigerian diaspora. He highlighted the strategic alignment between Germany’s industrial workforce needs and Nigeria’s growing pool of highly trained professionals.
?Under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Nigeria has modernized its educational system to prioritize technical expertise,

entrepreneurship, and professionalism. Specialised institutions are producing skilled talent across medicine, engineering, technology, the creative arts, and vocational sectors professionals who actively drive the Nigerian economy while standing ready to contribute to global markets, including Germany’s.
?Ambassador Enang described the long-standing relationship between Nigeria and Germany as a model of constructive diplomatic engagement between Africa and Europe, anchored on shared democratic values, trade, infrastructure development, and educational exchanges.
He further reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to regional security, Pan-African unity, and global trade integration through platforms such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the African Union, and the United Nations.
?Commending the Nigerian diaspora across Europe for their intellect, resilience, and contribution to host communities, the Ambassador shared excerpts from President Tinubu’s national address, emphasizing economic reform, shared prosperity, and national progress.
The event concluded with a toast to the enduring diplomatic friendship between Nigeria and Germany, African solidarity, and sustainable bilateral growth.
