EID EL-FITRI MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN/CEO, NATIONAL HAIL COMMISSION OF NIGERIA (NAHCON), AMBASSADOR ISMAIL YUSUF ABBA
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatun.
On behalf of the Board, Management and staff of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), I warmly felicitate with the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the world on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, marking the successful completion of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Ramadan has been a period of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, patience and devotion to Allah (SWT). As we celebrate this blessed day of Eid, I urge all Muslims to sustain the virtues of discipline, compassion, unity and generosity cultivated during the holy month. May Allah (SWT) accept our fasting, prayers and acts of charity, and grant peace, unity and prosperity to our nation.
As we celebrate this blessed Eid, I wish to reassure all intending pilgrims for the
2026 Hajj that the Commission is fully committed to enhancing the quality of services across all areas, including accommodation, feeding, medical care, and transportation. To this end, we will enforce strict adherence to international best practices, uphold accountability, and maintain clear timelines to ensure the comfort, safety, and overall well-being of every pilgrim.
I also wish to commend the dedication and cooperation of our staff, stakeholders, and partners who have continued to support the Commission in our preparations for the 2026 Hajj operations. Accordingly, I am pleased to announce that all visas have now been successfully issued in line with the established timeline, as we transition to the pre-arrival stage scheduled to commence on 1ª Shawwal, 1447 AH.
Once again, I congratulate the Muslim Ummah on this joyous occasion and pray that Allah (SWT) grants us many more opportunities to witness Eid in peace, good health and prosperity.
