The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, GCON, on Sunday, distributed 30 vehicles to the support groups and former leaders of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Kaduna State.
The distribution exercise was done in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Governor Uba Sani, CON, continuity in 2027.
Former leadership of the defunct CPC from the 23 local governments of Kaduna State, the three senatorial zones, and the state chapter benefited from the vehicles.
Similarly, the Speaker distributed a total of 850 motorcycles to primary and secondary school teachers, Imams, polling unit heads, supporter groups, and security personnel to improve mobility and ease access to their places of work.



The Speaker, who had on Friday provided financial grants for economic empowerment to 2,400 people in his constituency, said the intervention was to advance his commitment by investing in mobility, organisational, and community infrastructure.
Additionally, Speaker Abbas announced a monthly donation of 15 million naira to the Old CPC Support Group in Kaduna State to promote the reelection of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.
"I want to make it clear here that this support is for the Old CPC Support Group to promote only the continuity of two people: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. Please, don't promote anybody else, including myself. Your task is to promote only these two people.
"This monthly support will come monthly from this February until you reelect President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani next year, In Sha Allah.”
On the vehicles and motorcycles distributed, he said, "Together, these interventions form an integrated approach to building capacity, improving service delivery, and strengthening the systems that sustain education, security, political participation, and youth development across the Zaria Federal Constituency.
He said the vehicles presented to the Old CPC Support Groups were "in recognition of loyalty, sacrifice, and enduring commitment.
"Politics is sustained by structure, discipline, and organization. The Old CPC tradition in Kaduna State and across the North helped lay the foundation of the political movement that produced the APC and delivered national leadership. This presentation reflects appreciation and reinforces readiness. Strong structures remain essential to political stability, mobilization, and governance.




"In addition, we are commissioning sports centres across Zaria Federal Constituency. Sport plays a vital role in community development. It promotes discipline, teamwork, and confidence. It creates avenues for healthy competition, youth engagement, and talent development."
Speaker Abbas added that the interventions were part of a deliberate and consistent empowerment strategy, noting that they align firmly with the national direction under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
"The Renewed Hope Agenda prioritises economic recovery, stability, and inclusive growth across all regions of the country. Our responsibility at the constituency level is to ensure that this national direction produces tangible outcomes for our people.
He also acknowledged the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, saying, "Strong coordination between federal and state leadership remains essential to sustaining peace, development, and opportunity across Kaduna.
“Security depends on rapid response and cooperation between agencies and communities. These are practical foundations of stability and growth.”
He urged the beneficiaries to put the vehicles and the motorcycles into responsible use.
In a remark, the governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani said the interventions would uplift the lives of the people, noting that Speaker Abbas Tajudeen demonstrates inclusive leadership.
The governor said the Speaker has consistently demonstrated that leadership is defined by impact, adding that the empowerment programme was “a powerful reminder of what purposeful leadership can achieve.”
He said such interventions would create pathways for self-reliance and real economic empowerment, as well as reduce unemployment.
He commended the Speaker for his steadfast support to Kaduna State based on a partnership built on mutual respect and resolve to bring development to Kaduna State.
Governor Uba Sani also urged the beneficiaries to ensure that the items translated into improved livelihoods.
