The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, alongside his wife, Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajudeen, have made a combined donation of N22 million and an 18-seater bus to the Hajiya Hafsat Uba Sani Birni da Karkara Initiative to support grassroots empowerment and social welfare programmes in Kaduna State.

?The announcement was made in Abuja during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Initiative, which was founded by the wife of the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani.

During the visit, Speaker Abbas announced a donation of N20 million and an 18-seater bus to help advance the group’s community outreach across urban and rural areas.

Similarly, Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajudeen, who serves as Chairperson of the House of Representatives Spouses Association (HORSA), made a personal donation of N2 million to strengthen support for women, youth, and vulnerable groups.

?In recognition of their exemplary leadership and dedication to humanitarian service, the Initiative officially appointed Speaker Abbas as its Grand Patron, presenting him with an Award of Honour, while appointing Hajiya Fatima as Matron.

?Commending the First Lady of Kaduna State for her vision, Speaker Abbas praised the Initiative's commitment to grassroots mobilization and praised her support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani, pledging his continued support for the group's objectives.
