The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has unveiled plans to launch the "PBAT Stewardship Account," a comprehensive media campaign aimed at documenting and showcasing the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, particularly in Northern Nigeria.
?Speaking on Monday evening during a meeting of the City Boy Movement with the President at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, Speaker Abbas urged President Tinubu to adopt the stewardship template across all sectors of the administration as part of the electioneering framework ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
?Speaker Abbas announced that within the next two weeks, he will host a media briefing detailing verifiable projects, programs, and policies delivered by the administration across the Zaria Federal Constituency, Kaduna State, the North-West zone, and the country at large.
?He emphasized that the initiative will serve as an audit rather than a mere political celebration, offering transparent and location-specific details on every federal intervention, including acknowledging areas where work remains ongoing.
?Alongside the executive scorecard, the Speaker revealed that the upcoming briefing will present the stewardship report of the 10th House of Representatives, highlighting key legislation, legislative reforms, and oversight activities conducted in partnership with the executive arm.
?Highlighting a concrete example, Abbas referenced the 100-bed Renewed Hope Specialist Hospital delivered in May in Zaria through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework and handed over to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), describing it as tangible proof of the administration's impact on everyday lives.
?The Speaker called on all elected and appointed political officeholders serving under the Tinubu administration to follow suit by rendering similar accounts of their service and stewardship to the Nigerian public.
