Speaker Abbas Powers Zaria Facilities with Solar Energy, Urges Support for Tinubu and APC Ahead of 2027

?The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has flagged off the installation of solar power systems across hospitals, schools, security outposts, and other public facilities in the Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State.

?Speaking over the weekend during the commissioning and groundbreaking of several constituency projects, Speaker Abbas unveiled a 110 kVA solar installation at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Kongo Campus.

He also performed the groundbreaking for the Zaria Education Development Association's (ZEDA) International Conference Hall and a modern skills acquisition centre, alongside office accommodation for the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

?Highlighting the critical impact of the interventions, Speaker Abbas emphasized that essential services like healthcare, education, security, and trade cannot function in the dark.

He noted that the solar systems would target places where power is needed most, including clinics, classrooms, security posts, mosques, and churches.

To ensure long-term sustainability, local youths from Zaria were specially trained to handle the installation and maintenance of the equipment, helping to build lasting technical capacity within the community.

?The Speaker linked these local initiatives directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as turning national ambition into local reality.

Reflecting on his mandate over the past three years, Speaker Abbas thanked his constituents for their continued trust and urged them to judge political leadership by tangible local results—such as working clinics, functional schools, accessible markets, and youth employment opportunities.

?Looking ahead, Speaker Abbas called on the people of Zaria to support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming general elections.

He urged constituents to vote for President Tinubu’s re-election alongside all APC candidates on January 16, 2027, to ensure a unified voice for the constituency and the continued delivery of developmental projects.
