A commercial bus driver was allegedly shut dead in Oye Ekiti, Ekiti state because he refused to give N50 bribe to some police officers, reports say.
The reports had indicated that, the deceased who was coming into the state from Kwara state with some passengers, came across some police men at the roadblock they mounted at Ayegbaju-Ifaki road. One of the police officers had allegedly demanded for N50 but the man refused giving them, he was starting to drive away from the check point.
The police man and his colleagues were on tuen trailed of the car, wjen the finally caught up with him and fired some shots, one of which hit the driver in the process and instantly died. The car somersaulted a few times, causing most of the passengers to sustain various degrees of injuries.
