Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi on Saturday defeated visiting Jigawa Golden Star 3-1 in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS) Bauchi.
Our Correspondent reports that Wikki tourists Nandeka Bangs opened the scoring at the 2 minute, while the visiting Jigawa stars Abdulaziz Sulaiman equalised with a 34 minute strike.
Wikki tourists score the 2nd goal through Jonathan Mairiga in the 46th minutes, to frustrated Jigawa Golden Star more , Wikki tourists Shaifullah Abbai cross the ball to Saddiq Abdullahi who nodded the 3rd goal in to the net of Jigawa stars in 75 Minutes
In a post-match interview, Wikki Tourists FC head Coach Abdul Maikaba expressed his happiness over the victory of the match.
“I am extremely happy over the victory, this is the first time we scored up to three goals in a match , this is marvelous.
“That makes us too the group, we are going to work assiduously on our mistakes and losses before our next match with Gombe United.
“The players are doing well but we have to be very determining for other matches ahead,” Maikaba said
Ibrahim Ishiyaku, Jigawa Golden Stars Media officer, said a match is always like that lost or won.
“It is our destiny we will concede these three goals, so it is not a new thing, that is the destiny.
“We have hope in the next match ,we will not relent, this is just one match in many,” he said
