Reps Member Jafaru Leko Spreads Christmas Cheer with Empowerment Programs in Bauchi

In the spirit of Christmas, Honourable Jafaru Gambo Leko, Member of the House of Representatives representing Bogoro, Dass, and Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency in Bauchi State, has distributed food items, scholarships, and empowerment programs worth over N100 million to his constituents.

Leko, disclosed this during the flagging of the distribution on Tuesday in Bauchi, saying the gesture is to alleviate sufferings and empower constituents.

According to Leko, the objective of the distribution is to alleviate the suffering of the constituents and celebrate the yuletide season.

He emphasized that Christians should enjoy the Christmas period and that his empowerment programs are designed to support his constituents, regardless of their party affiliation.

Speaking, Earlier, Mr Ya’u Yusuf Soja said the items distributed include food items, such as Spaghetti, Macaroni, Rice, Groundnut oil, wrappers, and bundles of brocades.

Additionally,empowerment packages, such as money to stakeholders and Party Leaders in the constituency, electric transformers and snooker games were and water pumps provided to support the constituents.

“As well as scholarships were also awarded to 200 students to support their education,” he said.

According to him, This is not the first time Leko has empowered his constituents. Previously, he distributed empowerment items to over 2000 people,

“Including Point of Sale (POS) machines, sewing machines, barbing clippers, generators, and spraying machines.

“He also empowered 325 farmers with farm inputs in his constituency.” Soja said

The three Chairmen of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bogoro, Dass, and Tafawa Balewa local government areas have commended Leko for his kind gesture, stating that he has done much for the constituents in just one year and seven months.

They expressed their appreciation for his continued good representation and empowerment programs, saying that the sky would be his limit if he continued in that direction.
