The Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) has awarded Man Cap certificates to three companies in Gombe after they demonstrated consistent compliance with product quality standards.
Muhammad Alhaji Bukar, the Coordinator of SON in Gombe State, stated that before presenting the certificates to the three companies—Hara Foam, Ugo Paint, and El-Shaddai—due process was followed to ensure their products met the required standards. He explained that the companies underwent a thorough process, including rigorous inspections and three consecutive product tests, before receiving the Man Cap certificates.
Bukar further emphasized that the awardees had been verified as compliant with SON’s standards, as their products were monitored in the market without prior notice, confirming they had not compromised on quality.
He advised the companies to maintain their high standards without compromise, warning that failure to do so could lead to the withdrawal of their licenses. He also noted that SON will continue to monitor the companies quarterly and analyze their products.
In an interview, Chidi John Emmanuel Ugo, the Managing Director of Hara Foam and Chemicals Limited, expressed his happiness at passing through the rigorous process and finally receiving the certificate. He said the certification is a proud achievement for their efforts.
Chidi promised to maintain the quality and standard of their products in order to achieve even higher certifications from SON.
“With SON’s certification, our products will now be able to enter international markets and compete globally,” he said.
He also encouraged customers to expect more from their products in the market, noting that since they are now standardized and have received the Man Cap certificate, their products will meet global standards without fear of competition.
