In a motion of urgent matters of national importance, Hon. Mansur from Bauchi State called for the investigation of the blackout being experienced especially in the north eastern states.
Hon. Mansur on Wednesday 23rd during the plenery stated that the reoccurring collapse of the national grid is worrisome, noting that in the year 2024 alone there has been such events for almost four times.
Mansur further state that the collapse is coming in a period the minister of power has assured Nigerians of being in charge of the situation and that Nigerians are to experience and enjoy 24 hours electricity supply.
He urged the house to mandate the house committee on power to summon the minister of power and to investigate the constant national power grid collapse and primer solutions for same, the motion was seconded by Hon. Kabir Yusuf from Bauchi State and moved by the house.
The motion was referred to the committee on power for further legislative action.
