Bauchi Gov Embarks on Massive Road Construction to Boost Socio-Economic Growth

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad of Bauchi State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to meeting the demands of the people by providing critical infrastructure, particularly roads in the State.

Speaking at groundbreaking ceremonies for the construction of 17 township roads in Bauchi State Capital and rural roads totaling 118.4 kilometers on Thursday.

Governor Muhammad pledged to continue prioritizing roads to address transportation challenges in both urban and rural communities.

The projects, which include the construction of access roads, rehabilitation of existing roads, and dualization of roads, are aimed at connecting various agrarian communities in five local government areas of the State.

Mohammed noted that these infrastructure projects will positively impact the lives and welfare of the people of Bauchi State, alleviate suffering in rural communities, attract investors, and accelerate socio-economic growth.

The Governor urged benefiting communities to cooperate with the contractors to deliver quality projects within the scheduled time frame.

Earlier, The Honorable Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, expressed his ministry’s readiness to closely monitor and supervise the projects, ensuring quality work and timely completion.

Galadima said the massive road construction project is a testament to the Governor’s determination to provide people-oriented, demand-driven projects that address the needs of the people of the State.
