A group under the umbrella of Bauchi State Concerned Citizens group has expressed strong disapproval of Senator Shehu Buba Umar’s recent attack on Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, describing it as “ungrateful” and “hypocritical”.
The Chairman Comrade Aliyu Ladan with the support of his Secretary Bulus Gambo of the group made the condemnation at a press conference held at CFA Hotel Bauchi on Saturday.
He called on him to apologise to Governor Mohammed and retract his statements, or face the consequences.
Ladan also expressed concern over Senator Buba’s lack of education and experience, saying that it was evident in his reasoning and actions.
He accused Senator Buba of being an opportunist.They recalled how Senator Buba was brought to limelight by former Governor Isah Yuguda but later turned against him, and how Governor Mohammed picked him up from obscurity and gave him appointments, only for him to repay the governor with disrespect.
He challenged Senator Buba to mention one institution and one classmate of Governor Mohammed’s to prove his claim that the governor is not qualified to lead the nation.
The Chairman praised Governor Mohammed as a blessing to the state and the nation, citing his track records of achievements and contributions to nation-building.
Ladan urged Senator Buba to desist from his “odious franchise of blackmail, betrayal, mischief, and subterfuge” and instead focus on serving the people who elected him.
The Chairman warned that his actions would not go unnoticed and that the people of Bauchi State would hold him accountable.
The group reiterated their support for Governor Mohammed and their commitment to exposing anyone who tries to bring him down.
“They vowed to continue speaking truth to power and holding elected officials accountable for their actions.
