Former Speaker of the House of Representatives and the immediate passed Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari has described his former predecessor as a political hero who fought to sustain democracy during his time.
Masari said this while fielding questions from journalists shortly after the valedictory session in honour of the late former speaker who passed away recently.
He said Na’abba fought to keep democracy while recognising the role of the executive, Judiciary and the Legislative system of government, according to him that was why many stood by him when there was move of impeachment against him (Na’Abba)
The Valedictory session was held today Thursday 22nd February during plenary session in the flour of the house with several speeches from Hon. Members and principal officers of the house of representatives with each taking 3minutes to speak on the life and time of the late former speaker.
